Hear From Past Trainees
I already had a YTT 200 training, I decided to take Nova Yoga Schools training because I felt called to do so. It was the best decision I have ever made. I’ve learned so much, and have tools to learn more if I choose to. I am comfortable teaching now. This training wasn’t just about the physical aspect, but the philosophical as well. —Haya Beltaji
This was amazing. A truly amazing experience that I don’t know how to put into words. I still haven’t even posted pics yet and it’s been weeks since graduation because nothing I say can embody what I’ve experienced. I loved every bit of it. —Sha’Quiel
I met Lila and Jot Anot at a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Costa Rica. They are master teachers in every sense of the word. The quality of their characters cannot be overstated. They embody the teachings of yoga and dedicate their lives to sharing these teachings with others. They constantly led the group from a place of purity and precision; unlocking the fullness of the experience for each and every practitioner. Aside from the extraordinary yoga training I received, there was much more to be learned from this experience. I learned to be a sacred listener, to see myself and others through divine eyes, and to master myself so that I may better serve others. The seeds of their wisdom continue to bloom and bear fruit for me every single day. If you open your heart to the experience, Lila and Jot will illuminate the spiritual path for you. —Gregory Stavrakas

Lila is an experienced yoga teacher whose journey began over a decade ago under the guidance of Adi Shakti in Costa Rica, studying both Vinyasa and traditional Hatha yoga. Her love of practice led her across the globe - from the jungles of Central America to the banks of the Ganges in India, where she completed her 500-hour certification at the Akhanda Yoga School in Rishikesh. Over the years, yoga has become as essential to her as breathing. Rooted in the teachings of movement, breath, and Vipassana meditation, her classes and trainings are an invitation to come home to yourself - where the inner world reflects the beauty of the outer one.
Lila is a yoga style nerd at heart, blending wisdom from multiple lineages into accessible, heart-opening practices. She has taught thousands of classes around the world and now leads Yoga Teacher Trainings and retreats that explore not just what happens on the mat, but how yoga can shape how we live, relate, and lead. For her, yoga is more than a practice - it’s a lifelong relationship with mystery, truth, and transformation.
When she is not on the mat you can find her strumming her ukulele or sipping cacao reading in a comfy chair.
